The Getting Started Meeting

In this comprehensive session, we will meet with you and your parents for up to 2 hours to discuss your academic interests and potential areas of focus in college, which parts of the country/world and types/sizes of colleges interest or do not interest you, and every other aspect of the college admission process. Before the Getting Started Meeting, we will ask you and your parents to complete brief questionnaires, supply academic transcripts, standardized test scores and answers to any questions that you and your parents have. Based on that information, we will prepare extensively for the meeting to ensure that you get customized guidance, a supportive, but professional, assessment of your admissions profile, and a prospective college list based on your specific wants and needs. This is a conversation, a time to ask questions, as well as your opportunity to start your journey to college. We hope that you will leave this meeting feeling informed, empowered, and enthusiastic about exploring the options we have discussed.

The Rising Senior Package

We will guide you from the end of your junior year (in most cases starting in the summer preceding your senior year) until you decide where you are going to launch your college journey. The Senior Year Package involves matching your strengths and interests to good fit colleges, building an application list and strategy, working on application essays, planning related to financial aid (if applicable) and merit scholarships, discussing standardized test requirements and strategies, and addressing any other questions you would may have. This is our most comprehensive package. Through this package, you will get individualized guidance and consultation, starting at the end of your sophomore year to the point at which you send an enrollment deposit to your chosen college. The Junior Year Package involves exploring academic areas of interest, planning visits to colleges, building an application list and strategy, working on application essays, planning for financial aid and merit scholarship applications, discussing standardized test requirements and strategies, and addressing any other questions you may have.

We offer two essay packages to help you figure out what life events, achievements, aspects of your personal story, etc. to share with admission offices in the most impactful way. Our goal is to help you craft well written essays that are an authentic and meaningful presentation of who you are and what you can offer your top choice colleges. Each of the essay packages provide guidance and feedback on essays for the Common Application (for U.S. institutions), school/program specific applications (such as Canadian, UK, and other international universities) as well as advising related to supplemental essays required by colleges and universities and/or separate essays required by highly competitive scholarship programs.
